Welcome to Tarbert
Tarbert is an idyllic and picturesque fishing village on the west coast of Scotland between the towns of Lochgilphead (to the north) and Campbeltown (to the south). Tarbert is a historic village associated with the herring fishing industry and still one of very few registered landing ports for herring today.
The village of Tarbert is a popular overnight location as it is the last inhabited village before the Islay ferry terminal at Kennacraig and for boats it is close to the stunning Portavadie Marina complex at Cowal.
